In short:
  • This website uses no advertising or tracking services of third parties. No content of social networks is embedded.
  • We evaluate visits statistically with the software Plausible Analytics, without cookies and without user profiles.
  • The website sets a single cookie. It only remembers the language in which you see the website.
  • To deliver the pages, our web server has to process technical data, including your IP address.
  • If you send us a request through the form or write to us, we process your details in order to deal with your request.
Hosting and server logs:

This website runs on a server in Germany. Each time a page is requested, the web server writes the following to a log file:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of the request
  • the address requested and the amount of data transferred
  • status code of the response
  • the page visited before (referrer), if your browser sends it
  • browser and operating system (user agent)

We need this data to deliver the website, to keep it running safely and to detect and investigate attacks. It is not combined with other data and not used for marketing.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 14 days.

The connection between your browser and our website is encrypted (TLS/HTTPS).

Cookie and browser storage:

This website is available in German and English. So that you arrive in your language again on your next visit, it sets a cookie named “i18n_redirected”. It contains nothing but the language code (“de” or “en”), no identifier by which you could be recognised, and is deleted after one year.

In addition, the website keeps a technical cache for the icons of the page in your browser’s storage (local storage and session storage: “iconify-count”, “iconify-version”). It contains no information about you either.

Both are necessary to show you the website in the language you want and with all its elements (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can delete cookies and website data at any time in your browser settings.

Visitor statistics (Plausible Analytics):

To understand how our website is used and to improve it, we evaluate page views statistically. For this we use the open-source software Plausible Analytics, which runs on a server in Germany (plausible.bearhost.de). Your browser loads a small counting script from there; the data is not passed on to third parties.

Plausible sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the page viewed, the page visited before (referrer), browser, operating system and device type, and the country derived from the IP address.

Your IP address is not stored. The IP address, the browser identifier and a random value that changes every day are only used to compute an anonymous identifier that allows the visits of one day to be counted; the random value is deleted after 24 hours. You are therefore not recognised across several days or across websites, and no user profiles are created.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in evaluating the use of our website in a privacy-friendly way (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Request form (catering and food truck):

If you send us a request through the form, we process the details you enter there: the details of the event (kind, place and times, food and quantities wanted, site and power) and your contact and billing details (name, company where applicable, address, email address, VAT ID or tax number where applicable, website and social media profile, and the name and phone number of a contact person on site).

The request is stored on the server of this website and also delivered to us by email. We use the details only to deal with your request and to make you an offer.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract and performance of a contract). We delete requests once they have been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods require us to keep them. If an order is placed, commercial and tax law require us to keep business records for six to ten years.

Contact by email:

If you write to us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your message is about an offer or a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our profiles on social networks:

We maintain profiles on Instagram and Facebook and link to them and to other websites from this website. No content of these providers is embedded here; only when you follow a link does the respective provider process your data under its own responsibility. Instagram and Facebook are provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland.

If you write to us there or react to our posts, we process your details in order to communicate with you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, for enquiries about our services Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Meta also provides us with aggregated statistics on the use of our profiles; in this respect Meta and we are joint controllers.

Disclosure of your data:

We do not pass on your data for advertising purposes. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Your rights:

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • access to the data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

Right to object: where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

To exercise your rights, a message to the contact details above is enough.

Complaints:

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:

Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit

10555 Berlin

Providing your data:

You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide us with personal data. Without the details in the form, however, we cannot deal with your request.

Changes to this policy:

We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
